Apparently AMD is making space for upcoming Ryzen Threadripper chips as Ryzen 7 chips are getting their prices trimmed. Threadripper is scheduled to be launched this summer however no exact dates have been provided as of now & chip maker is already taking steps to make room for the X399 platform chips. Ryzen 7 chips 1700,1700X & 1800X got their prices slashed by a considerable margin.
Top of the Ryzen 7 line 1800X was launched at a price of $499 but now it can be found as low as $429 that is approximately 15% price drops for flagship 8 core chip. 1700X was launched at a price of $399 but it is selling at low price around $309 that is a price drop of 23%. Lastly, the non XFR 1700 chips can be found at $299 from launch price of $329.
These chips was already pretty much value for money 8 Core 16 Threads powerhouses. Now, price cuts make them more appealing to potential buyers.
